VDAY Smoothie Bowl

Recipe by Alicia Lamore
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 5 mins
Total time: 10 mins
Yield: 2 smoothie bowls
Calories per serving: 223
Fat per serving: 7.2g
  • 2 bananas (frozen, chopped)
  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (more if mixture is too thick)
  • 1 tbsp organic passion fruit syrup (or organic honey!)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/8 cup chopped pecans
1. Blend first 4 ingredients in a FOOD PROCESSOR, adding more milk if too thick. Once bananas and berries are blended, pulse until desired consistency. The food processor is key for a smoothie bowl as I find it forms an ice cream texture which I can never get in a blender without it being too liquid. If you don't have a food processor, chop your bananas really small and use the lowest possible pulse setting for similar results.
2. Add mixture to a bowl, top with chopped pecans, chia seeds and some leftover berries.

Happy Valentine's Day!
