1. Put one package of ground turkey in a bowl
2. Add in 1/2 of a chopped onion.
3. Add in 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs and any spices you'd like! My family uses a variety of spices from Costco to get more flavour (all of which are 0 calories).
4. Add in a few squirts of BBQ sauce.
5. Mix all ingredients and make them into 4oz patties using a food scale. Add them directly to pan on medium heat (can use a spray oil but they don't really need it/stick).
6. Wait until you see the edges of the burgers turn light brown before flipping to ensure they get fully cooked.
7. Can serve with a nice, big salad instead of on a bun for a quick, low-calorie dinner!
*** And make a few more to save for lunches the next day!
My mom and I made up this turkey burger recipe a couple days ago and it turned out really good! Great to make on a sunday night for meal prep all week or simply a low-calorie lunch at home when you have some ground turkey in your fridge. Let me know what you think!
Happy cooking,
