Another amazing breakfast in Honolulu from Island Vintage Coffee. I have always wanted to try an acai bowl and Hawaii seemed like the perfect place to do it. The bowl was 10$, made to order and provided enough for two. I loved this breakfast so much that I purchased one of their bowls and will look forward to recreating this at home.
If you haven't heard of them before, acai berries are an actual South American fruit from acai palm trees which have been named a superfood in the healthy community due to being rich in antioxidants. I will definitely be looking into getting the all-natural, no sugar added acai frozen puree I've been seeing on Instagram and related social media platforms.
